5 mouth-watering dinner recipes.

There are days when you want something warm and comforting and tasty but you’re just not in the mood to spend an entire evening in the kitchen. I feel this way at least once every week. Inevitably, the recipes that catch my eye online are usually elaborate and fancy. My Pinterest board has 5 different ways to cook up fancy Hasselback potatoes but nothing that can be put together in less than half an hour. Well, until now!

5 Recipes that are Perfect for Fall!

This week, my husband was visiting Seattle and he offered to take me along. I agreed instantly since I’ve heard that it’s constantly raining in Seattle (I LOVE the rain, it makes me VERY, VERY happy).

Seattle was truly wonderful; I could spend the rest of my life shopping the produce at Pike Place Market or stuffing face at The Crumpet Shop or have bottle after bottle of wine on the deck of The Pink Door. Seattle is also very pretty on the eyes with lush greenery all around and picturesque views of the snow-capped Mount Rainier. While there was no rain whatsoever (not even a cloud in sight), it was certainly cool enough to be meatloaf-and-mashed-potatoes-with-gravy kind of weather.

Back in the San Francisco Bay Area, the days are slowly starting to get shorter and the evenings cooler. Just as I was getting a hang of what to do with summer produce, it’s time to welcome this season’s entrants.

A few weeks ago while shopping for groceries, I came across butternut squash and I knew I HAD to pair it with sage, browned butter and some pasta at the earliest. That led me to hunt down more recipes to usher in Fall and some recipes that let me hold on to Summer just a little bit longer.

Here they are, I hope you enjoy them!
